GTA Geoinformatik GmbH signs contract to model 32 textured 3D city models and 600 3D Landmarks in North America
After the great success and the intensive use (for instance on the Sony Playstation Portable) of the 3D City Models produced for Tele Atlas already in 2007, Tele Atlas and GTA move further ahead: in 2008 32 cities in the USA and Canada will be modeled. They will be enhanced with GTA's parametric texturing technology which is currently unique world wide. This year's expansion of Tele Atlas 3D data coverage is completed by the production of 600 high quality Landmarks. This way, Tele Atlas strengthens its position as provider of 3D City Models for navigation that are superior to competition in quality and coverage.
Through acquisition of this contract, GTA Geoinformatik GmbH again proved its international market and technology leadership. |
