Good photographs are necessary to guarantee the quality of photogrammetric evaluation. Therefore accurate planning, organisation and execution of a flight mission is absolutely crucial.

Planning includes:

• choice of scale
• choice of mission time and date
• choice of film (emulsion)
• choosing the flight trajectory
• determine the number and location of ground control points

Organisation includes:

• securing ground control points: signalling and measuring the exact location, ordering from government agencies, coordinate transformation ...
• chose a flight provider
• quality check of photographs
• cutting and archiving the photographs
• calculating projection centers
